In every organization, the institution is the ultimate authority. No matter how powerful an individual may be, he or she remains subject to the pronouncement of that authority.
In Igbo culture, this is similar to the Umunna. Once the Umunna stamps its decision on a matter, no matter your status or influence in society, the verdict stands.
The world has taken note of the decision of IPOB directorate of state. That is the difference between individual authority and institution’s authority.
Two things happened yesterday, Nnamdi Kanu made a pronouncement and DOS made pronouncement . But world care more about the pronouncement of an DOS more than individual .
That is why Institution is the world legalized authority of every society . When they speak the world listened .

Obi Aguocha Urges Ikwuano/Umuahia Traditional Rulers to Intervene Against Nnamdi Kanu’s Death Sentence
Distinguished Hon. Obi Aguocha, Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has called on traditional rulers in Ikwuano and Umuahia to urgently intervene by appealing to the Federal Government to drop its cross-appeal seeking the death sentence for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Aguocha made the appeal during a meeting with the royal fathers, urging them to use their revered position to press the Federal Government to abandon the move, which he described as a threat to peace and justice in the South East.
He emphasised that the intervention of traditional institutions is critical at this time to protect the life of the IPOB leader and prevent further escalation of tension in the region.
"What type of government do we have in Nigeria? Our Oyo school children and teachers are still in the bush, yet we are being told that nobody knows where they are. Who are they deceiving?
Imagine a government negotiating with båndits instead of going after them. Some terrørists are even on social media, while the President, governors, and senators move around freely every day campaigning. Nigerian pastors, this is the time to tell your members the truth; we need to wake up.
Our politicians travel in bulletproof vehicles while their children live overseas. If there is no security in the country, then politicians should also provide bulletproof vehicles for citizens because the nation's resources belong to all of us. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been saying this for years.
Up till today, Nigeria still lacks 24-hour electricity, adequate security, and good roads. Yet when the government uses public funds to build roads, they boast about it as though it is a personal achievement.
Nigerians should come together and vote for good candidates who can attract foreign investors and move the country forward."

President Donald Trump’s administration is pressing Nigeria and other African nations to shelter Venezuelan convicts and illegal immigrants deported from the U.S., the minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has revealed.
Speaking on Channels TV on Thursday, Mr Tuggar said Nigeria is seriously pushing back against America’s efforts to deport ex-convicts and other illegal Venezuelans, stating that the country had enough problems of its own.
“The U.S is mounting considerable pressure on African countries to accept Venezuelans to be deported from the U.S., some straight out of prisons,” the foreign affairs minister disclosed. “It will be difficult for Nigeria to accept Venezuelan prisoners.”
The foreign affairs minister made the statement to dismiss speculations that the U.S. revised its non-immigrant visa policy for Nigerians as retribution for the country’s participation at the 2025 BRICS, given Washington’s strained relations with member-states Russia and China.
Mr Tuggar said the issue was deeper than met the eye, implying that Nigeria’s refusal to accommodate Venezuelan prisoners and illegals might have triggered America’s wrath in reducing multiple entry five-year visas to only single entry three-month visas.
Mr Tuggar, on television, recounted the lyrics of a 1990 song by Public Enemy rap group that “Flavour Flav has problems of his own, I can’t do nothing for you, man”
“We have enough problems of our own, we cannot accept Venezuelan deportees to Nigeria for crying out loud. We already have 230 million people,” the minister said, rebuffing the U.S.
