it is funny whenever internet people comes for those who choose to take care of their mother or even better, take care of her more than their dad.

and it’s always guys with the pity narrative. just because your dad is good to you doesn’t mean all fathers are same.

in most cases, it’s the mothers who compromises and put everything on the line to see her child become great in life.

i know this because i have seen it multiple times and it happened with me.

and cut the slack with that “mothers manipulate their children to hate their father” narrative. unless the children don’t grow or are not conscious, they see everything.

children recognize pattern. even as absent and nonchalant as my dad was in the early stage of our lives before he started acting right, my mom never for once talked bad about him. always told us he was a good person and conditions changes people, hoping he’d be better someday- eventually, he was.

but na we use our eyes dey see wetin been dey play.

you’re a good guy, you aspire to be a good father, ok. fair enough. but until you get there and retain your principles mounting your moral high horse, stfu and let people appreciate the one who sacrificed for them.
