@Dragosbeard @artificialDICE @novakaiiser Every single long running series with 10+ entries will feel convoluted and weird from the outside looking in because there's literally hundreds of hours of lore and character building to contend with. KH just gets picked on because, for awhile, entries were hard to access.

@Dragosbeard @artificialDICE @novakaiiser if you play it in order and don't sleep through cutscenes, the series is legit a very straightforward story even if told with a little bit of nonlinearity. The only real argument against that is DDD, but even that just boils down to a bit of a poorly told plot point.

@anongoat360 @seafoodchip I disagree, the main campaign being the length and difficulty it is makes it more accessible to kids who are a large part of Splatoon target audience. The difficulty not REALLY kicking in until post game makes sense to me.

@lagolapin @Neo_Neo_chance @SmolAltNoko Honestly I have a soft spot for the splat 1/2 story modes even if they are objectively not that great. They're still pretty solid shooter platformers and they have really great vibes/aesthetics. The levels that took place on pvp maps were so cool, shame they stopped doing em.
