Informal...?
Oops, that means rude.
Rice was being rude, and thus she felt really bad about it.
The girl's ears droop as she bows deeply, holding her spoon close.

“I- I’m sorry... Pl- Please forgive me...”

Pointed ears droop as the tiny soul holds her spoon closer.

"... Um... I- I... I just... ... Wanted to... Say hi..."

Rice pauses a moment. This person... Seems familiar. Vaguely. But she can't think too clearly, for she's quite terrified.

The past is gone, and cannot harm you anymore. And while the future is fast coming for you, it always flinches first, and settles in as the gentle present.

"Am I really that tall...?"

She asks quietly, tilting her head. She didn't feel taller or anything... But something did feel different, in a way.

...
One of those early mornings.

She'd had another dream,
Well, calling it a nightmare would be more accurate.

Standing on the balcony, she stares off into the distance.

"I am! What about you, Mister Pizza? Are you having a good year too?"

She asks softly, giving him a warm smile.

Rice nods and turns her attention towards the pitch-black sky as the two get closer.

The girl pauses to (attempt to) tie her hair back, if only to keep it from getting in the way.

Leaning against the railing, she sighs quietly.

She quietly nods, humming a little tune to herself. Seeing the other sort of float backwards next to her, Rice looks over at him.

"Sorry... It's such a wonderful, joyful time and yet... Yet I can't help but cry."

The once-empty vessel sighs quietly, giving Pizza

"So are you! Your smile is as bright as ever!"

She grins back, clapping her tiny hands together, ears wiggling beneath long, white locks.

@EmpyreanPinion soft, quiet sniffle. Pale pink lips remain in a warm smile, despite the tears flowing from bright orange hues.

"There's something sentimental about this, isn't there? The thought of a passing year, and the arrival of a new one."

"Yes, it's such a pleasant sight... But you don't seem very happy yourself, being all alone up here."

Her eyes soften as she leans against the railing a bit.
