@Dr_Rachel_Ren Guess it makes it a bigger "underdog" story that everyone likes. But yeah, nothing wrong with succeeding at a public, liberal arts school. Then again, I'm biased and from the working-class, so what do I know?
@GaramAnnLee Yes, so I gave some credit. I feel like they learned/applied the basic idea behind both readings, which ironically enough, were about self-regulated learning.
@GaramAnnLee Baby steps....Garam A. to Garam Ann to G. Ann to Ann G. Might take a couple of years and several pubs. Or it might be as simple as an authors note in a single publication...something along that line. Idk...stop asking hard questions! Lol
Sorry everyone...I just broke Google Scholar. Either that, or I managed to find the perfect 8-word combo of search terms (which were NOT an article title) that led to only one result. See if I ever try to find out about academic self-concept of first gen college students again.
@GaramAnnLee Was really only familiar with Ekman...after Googling, Plutchik seems off (not sure about trust as an emotion...and anticipation and fear may be too similar). Russell seems better, but perhaps too simplistic...if that's a thing. No disrespect intended.
