This is absolutely insane:
Prior to the Iran war, US oil companies were generating ~$62 billion in annual free cash flow with oil prices at $55/barrel.
Now, with oil prices at $100/barrel, US oil companies are expected to generate $163 billion in annual free cash flow, if current prices are sustained.
In other words, US oil giants are set to rake in an additional +$100 BILLION in free cash flow per year if oil prices remain elevated.
We are arguably witnessing the most profitable market conditions in history for US big oil.
Here’s how I plan to play with $WLFI, hoping not to get liquidated.
But first, let’s look at some facts.
More than 50% of investments are under $5,000, made mostly by new traders or people trying to build capital. Because of this, many get exposed to memecoins and leverage trading, where 99% end up losing money and falling into an endless vicious cycle. Manipulation after manipulation, the whales who represent less than 2% of participants actually control between 70% and 90% of the supply.
This is where we make the mistake: we lose sight of the long-term vision, blinded by the dream of “Making It.”
Here’s how I’m managing my risk on futures with my $WLFI position and why.
I entered with an average price of $0.22. My goal is to keep my liquidation price between Phase 1 (early buyers) at $0.015 per WLFI and Phase 2 (advanced presale) at $0.05 per WLFI. In my view, that’s practically close to zero. With only 20% of the total presale allocation unlocked and circulating, this offers protection against manipulation. And if the price ever approaches these levels, I believe it will quickly be absorbed.
For context, WLFI’s stablecoin ($USD1) has already reached over $2.5 billion in market cap in less than three months. On top of that, $ALT5 acquired 7.5% of the total supply at $0.20. If the math checks out, seeing prices below $0.10 seems almost impossible under my assumptions. Of course, this is futures trading and whales will always try to shake us out.
Always remember: there are no certainties in this market.
