Well, you’re probably saying this as a joke, but if I reflect on what actually happened at the time, here’s how it went ;).
I assume you’re referring to the situation where, initially, a Tekken character’s chest didn’t move at all, but as development neared the end, some physics code was secretly added when I wasn’t looking, and it turned out that a certain designer and programmer had quietly slipped that chest movement into the final ROM.
As for that episode, did I actually get mad at the developers who added the physics afterward, or feel deeply dissatisfied, or think they should be removed? Not at all.
That’s exactly why I’ve referred to it as a fun anecdote in the past. In reality, we appreciated the fact that they wanted to express their creativity that much, and I personally value such proactive developers. So, it’s a good memory, and I appreciated them to the end—and they are still my good comrades to this day.
