I wasn’t even going to make a post on this given how so many others have already, but I can’t stop thinking about it. Who’s actually making the directional changes at Pokémon Unite? Because from where I’m at, it really seems like the people making decisions have never once looked at what the community and player base are asking for.
Think about what this game actually is, it is a MOBA built around one of the most beloved franchises on the PLANET EARTH. MOBAs live and die by keeping players hooked over months and years. That means rotating things on the maps, a steady stream of new Pokémon pulling from different generations, varied end game objectives (keep slotting in new legendaries), fresh consistent balance changes, cosmetics, holowear, ways to actually personalize your profile, literally the whole package. The audience for something like this isn’t just large, it’s basically endless.
That’s the whole reason I walked away from League to give this game a shot. A Pokémon MOBA felt like it had the bones to be something special, something that could grow and reinvent itself season after season. But every single patch it feels like all that potential has taken a back seat to squeezing money out of the people who actually show up and play. Maybe I’ve been just spoiled at the level of communication and game play balance from Riot Games…
And the thing is, I’m not saying this out of bitterness. I’ve dumped a ton of hours into this game, competed competitively, posted content and kept coming back because I genuinely enjoy it. That’s what makes it so hard to watch it lose what made it worth playing in the first place.
I just hope the people in charge of Pokemon Unite whether they actually see the social media posts and sentiments, they actually sat down and watched the player base retention rates, Daily and Monthly Active Users (DAU/MAU), average revenue per user (ARPU), etc. because there’s no way as an executive or board member just sits there and watches a product tank like this unless it’s intentional. Anyways, I just hope they listen even a tiny bit to the community and let the people know they are heard. Ok done ranting, have a good day everyone.

Last night I investigated a comfey player in my solo q game that was very obviously trolling and I uncovered a secret ring of comfey win-traders
They constantly change their name in attempts to stay anonymous. All the wins funnel up to one player named GODZILLA who maintains an 85% winrate.
I found at least 4 of the comfey's profiles they use, and they also cycle wins on the comfey accounts with each other to be able to reliably snipe them.
These aren't comfey bots they are real players running it down actively trying to lose you the game. I'm not really sure what the purpose of all of this is but I won't stop digging.
@KlausVIII I get the frustration. Different teams handle balance vs socials, but their communication on patches and current crashes has been bad for a while. If they’re trying to improve, it hasn’t been very clear. So sad.
WE MADE IT! 🔥
We’re officially in the NA Pokémon UNITE Championship League! Huge thanks to @CitadelCTG for believing in us and making this possible.

@slashunite "Saying win rate doesn't matter is like saying you're the best poker player at the table, but you're just 'unlucky' that you've lost all your money."
Over one hand (one game), luck exists. Over 1,000 hands (a season), the money (win rate) always ends up with the best player lol.
I’ve been seeing a lot of talk lately about how unhappy people are with the recent patch notes and it’s 100% valid, but I do want to take a moment to shout out the @UniteEsports division.
Really excited to see which teams and orgs get those pre-invite spots, and who manages to make it through the open qualifiers this December for the 2026 Pokémon Unite North America League.
This upcoming season feels like a big turning point for the competitive scene. The teams that make it in will set the bar for North America — not just in the gameplay, but in how the game’s presented and experienced at the highest level for broadcasting. It’s awesome watching the scene continue to grow and prove that Pokémon Unite deserves its spot among the big esports titles.

Been playing MOBAs like Dota, Dota 2, and League for about a decade now, seeing Mega Charizard X hit almost 60% win rate in ranked is very jarring to me.. In most MOBAs, anything over 54% usually means immediate nerfs, but it’s nearly 60% and that’s just not healthy for balance or fun for players. Not saying the devs need to act right this second, but from my experience, when one pick is this strong, the whole ranked environment suffers and emotions run high and not in a good way. Just some food for thought.
