In March we had a fascinating presentation from Dr Annalisa Occhipinti Associate professor of research at Teeside University on how her work with AI is helping to determine the best treatment and outcome for patients with a cancer diagnosis #southshields #womensinstitue

Last night, after submitting our votes on the resolutions, we were entertained by the lovely comedian Catherine Scott.
It was a lovely cheery start to the New Year and Catherine’s stories definitely resonated with many of us.

Last night we enjoyed a Christmassy social with food tasting and a quiz. I really hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

The book for December is Hercule Poirot’s Christmas.
However there is no meeting in December as it would fall on Boxing Day. January’s meeting is going for a curry on Ocean Road.

This week at our AGM, we had an amazing cake decorating demo from Margaret Carter. Jayne stepped down from her 7 year stint as president and Jannette was elected as our new president! And we held our first ever cake making competition. Thank you to those who entered!

Our Sipsters went on a Tour de France last night with wines from Provence, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Bordeaux, and the Pays D’Oc wine regions.
