To answer the questions: The moment the ball makes contact with an outside object (in this case the camera cable) play becomes dead and should be restarted with a dropped ball.
VAR could have intervened as it was in the immediate attacking phase of play that directly led to England's goal.
FIFA, meanwhile, say they’ve "checked the data - no peak on the graph from the connected ball heartbeat sensor" 🙃
The goal kick hit a camera wire in the buildup to Jude Bellingham's equalizing goal right before halftime 😯
There was no VAR check on the play and Norway couldn't believe it 😳
Alexander Sorloth didn't square the ball to Erling Haaland when Norway were 1-0 up against England and looking likely for a second.
They could come to rue that...
Regardless of the calls, the VAR’s, Sorloth had the likely winning assist on his boot and he chose to try and play hero instead of passing to the most prolific scorer in history. Unfortunate for Norway, but it happens!
Sorloth has 0 goal contributions this tournament and instead of passing it to Haaland WHO HAS 7 GOALS but he thinks he’s Messi, genuinely cost Norway the game
