You’re upset because the National Association of Black Journalists nabjofficial gave you a “Thumbs Down” award for what they described as a recurring pattern of disparaging commentary toward Black women.

Now you want to act like there are no receipts.

So here they are.

This is not about one disagreement, one bad take, or one heated exchange. It is about a documented pattern: defending Donald Trump, echoing MAGA talking points about “lawfare,” minimizing systemic racism, defending Jerry Jones when his segregation-era photograph surfaced, criticizing Jasmine Crockett, Kamala Harris, Joy-Ann Reid, Sheryl Swoopes, Angel Reese and Monica McNutt, while repeatedly extending grace to Trump, powerful white men, and white supremacists.

And when Black people point out the pattern, suddenly everybody is being unfair.

No.

You built the record. We are simply reading it back to you. You can’t spend years parroting right-wing narratives, castigating Black athletes and Black women, minimizing racism, appearing comfortably alongside people like Sean Hannity, Megyn Kelly, Bill O’Reilly, Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin, Tucker Carlson, Clay Travis, and Candace Owens, affirming anti Black rhetoric, and defending Trump against legitimate criticism, and then have a meltdown because Black journalists noticed.

I have been calling this out for a long time. My brother Etan Thomas 🇬🇩 has called it out. Others have called it out. NABJ did not invent the record.

They recognized it.

You can debate whether or not you like the conclusion. You cannot erase the receipts.

And the receipts are long. 🧾
