⚠️ IVERMECTIN AND CANCER RESEARCH

The interest isn't coming from clinical evidence alone. Laboratory and animal studies have produced findings suggesting possible anticancer activity, which has led researchers to investigate whether ivermectin could have a role alongside established cancer treatments.

One example is an ongoing Phase I/II clinical trial at Cedars-Sinai studying oral ivermectin in combination with immune-checkpoint therapy for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The trial is currently listed as recruiting, and ivermectin's use in this study is explicitly described as experimental.

Results presented at the 2025 ASCO meeting included early observations from the trial, but the study is still designed to determine safety, dosing, and preliminary efficacy. Those findings do not establish ivermectin as a proven cancer treatment.

AND THEN THERE'S IVERMECTIN CREAM

The dermatology story is different because topical Ivermectin 1% already has an established FDA-approved indication for inflammatory lesions of rosacea. The labeled directions are once-daily application to affected facial areas.

So while cancer repurposing remains an area of investigation, Ivermectin 1% cream already has an established place in rosacea treatment, including use by Dermatologists.

IVERMECTIN: EFFECTIVE MEDICINE OR OVERHYPED?

We get a lot of questions about Ivermectin.

Is it effective? Is it useful? Or is everything being said about it online completely exaggerated?

The answer is more Nuanced.

Where Ivermectin has a well-established role 👇

Ivermectin is a genuine antiparasitic medicine. It is used to treat certain parasitic infections, including strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, and CDC guidance also includes Ivermectin among treatment options for several other parasitic conditions.

That is very different from taking it simply because you want to "Stay healthy."
