We are just defending our home | POV from a daughter of Cambodia
I can only speak as one of the many daughters of Cambodia. We are simply protecting our home, our land, our loved ones. If it was your country, what would you do? #ExposeThailandLies#TruthFromCambodia
Ceasefire's Hope Underlies Extra Vigilance
PHNOM PENH--Cambodians are embracing the recent ceasefire with Thailand as a sign of hope and relief after five days of conflict. The ceasefire represents a crucial step towards healing the wounds and rebuilding divided communities.
Our journalist talked to a few Cambodians in Phnom Penh.
However, they remain cautious, aware that tensions could resurface if underlying issues aren't addressed fully, knowing that lasting peace requires vigilance and dialogue between conflicting parties to prevent future clashes.
Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to resume direct communication following five days of armed clashes, after a ceasefire fully came into effect last night, according to Lieutenant-General Maly Socheata, spokesperson for Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense.
The country, however, rejects the statement from the Thai Army that Cambodia broke the agreement, following reports that the country still opens fire into Thai territory.
🇹🇭🔥 THE UGLY TRUTH BEHIND THAILAND’S WAR ON CAMBODIA
A 7-Eleven Bombing. A National Lie. And A Sacred Temple Worth a War.
🕯 Innocent lives were lost.
But what hurts more than bombs… is betrayal — from your own leaders.
Cambodians Gather in Siem Reap to Sing National Songs
SIEM REAP — On July 27, Cambodian citizens gathered at Pub Street, one of the most popular nightlife destinations in the cultural heart of Siem Reap, to collectively sing national songs such as “Pong Savada Khmer” and “Suvannaphumi Dei Khmer.” The public display of unity comes as Thai military aggression enters its fourth day, with at least 30 lives lost on both sides. The gathering aimed to express national solidarity and support for those affected by the ongoing conflict.
The hope of the Cambodian people at this moment is for the United Nations to help seek justice for Cambodia and to call upon Thailand to cease any further acts of aggression against Cambodian territory.
សូមអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិជួយរកយុត្តិធម៌អោយកម្ពុជាខ្ញុំផង។
We respectfully appeal to the United Nations to help seek justice for our Cambodia.
As armed conflict between Cambodia and Thailand entered the third day, Cambodia continues to condemn Thai aggression and demand an immediate halt to its action.
The Ministry of National Defense on July 26 reported heavy casualties and widespread displacement following the attacks.
Ministry Spokesperson Lieutenant-General Maly Socheata confirmed that five Cambodian soldiers were killed and 21 others injured in Oddar Meanchey province. Civilian casualties were even higher, with eight confirmed dead and at least 50 wounded.
More than 35,000 civilians have been forced to flee across several provinces.
The world should know!
Thailand accused Cambodia of starting the war first, but in reality Thailand attacked and killed innocent Cambodian people while thousands more are looking for shelter.
Thailand is manipulating and lying to the world about its aggressive behavior toward Cambodia's sovereignty.

Today marks the third day since Thailand invaded Cambodia on July 24, 2025. Driven by power, the Thai military’s actions have caused suffering to many civilians. This is not about territory—it’s a violation of peace and humanity.
Khmer nationals in Thailand are being harassed and violently attacked—simply for being Cambodian. They have nothing to do with the border clash. They didn’t fire rockets or provoke anyone. They’re just living and working like everyone else. Blaming them for what’s happening at the border is ignorant and dangerous. If your anger turns into violence against innocent people, you’ve already lost the moral ground.
Fighting continues along the border between Thailand and Cambodia this morning, July 24, at key conflict points: Ta Mone Thom Temple, Ta Krabey Temple, the Mom Bei area and near Preah Vihear Temple.

🧵🇰🇭 🇹🇭 armed conflict:
1) This is an armed conflict between a much more powerful military against a smaller military trying to defend itself. 🇹🇭 use of F-16s shows that imbalance.
🇰🇭 has exercised restraints since the start of the conflict in May when 🇹🇭 killed a 🇰🇭 soldier.
