In between marking this evening I have been looking at how many Universities have policies on deducting 100% of pay for working to contract. The fact that so many believe not doing unpaid overtime constitutes a full deduction in pay, shows you how broken the Uni system really is.

It's fellowship season so I've spent the last few months reading lots of draft fellowships. There are some really common points of feedback that keep coming up, beyond general structural advice. I thought I'd put them here for anyone else who might benefit. 1/
This is a useful infographic, however, a screening program earlier would also help catch a lot of younger patients. Currently, in the UK, only over 50s have routine breast screening. If you are younger it's up to you to recognise the signs and convince the GP for further checks.
