@baaadbitch @charlottemwhite I live in Washington state. Our local grocery stores have a program where they ask the customer if they want to round up for the food bank. Let's say my bill is $35.15 I'd pay $36 and the food bank gets .85 cents. Pretty painless

@SonnyBeez It might be easier to find untreated seeds and grow your own. Then you can make more choices as to color, size ect

@SonnyBeez @nicolettepombo There's a very simple solution to this problem. Use local ( to your area) queens. Work with your local beekeeping group. Catch swarms if possible. If your bees die and you want more, try to get bees that already live in your area. Healthy bees from your area should be fine.

@SonnyBeez I understand not everyone can be a beekeeper. I only have one hive. Some people are allergic or very uncomfortable around bees. But a lot of our food needs bee pollination to bear fruit. Start small. Container gardens can help. Flowering bushes are great. Sunflowers. Borage.

@SonnyBeez It's a very important topic. What we need to get over is the idea that a perfect lawn is something to be pursued. Clover and dandelions are important early spring forage for bees. They need more forage
