It's unacceptable that police dogs are attending widespread public disorder incidents in the UK, wearing no PPE (personal protective equipment), for example stab vests or protective boots to prevent injuries from glass and other debris. Police officers wouldn't attend such incidents without PPE, so why do we allow police dogs. We're calling on the UK government to urgently review PPE for police dogs nationally, and are requesting that Police Chiefs' consider carefully if it's appropriate to deploy police dogs at this current time, without the necessary protection issued to them. Police dogs are not "tools" they are sentient beings, and we have a duty to ensure their safety and wellbeing if we're asking them to serve their country. 🇬🇧🐶💙
Spare a thought for Tony Hill who has been working at break neck speed in blazing hot sun to rebuild the Southport mosque wall before the far right can return.
He said: “And if we have to build it again afterwards we will do just that.”
BREAKING
CONFIRMED — senior Downing Street source tells me Jojo, the Starmers’ rescue cat, is moving into No 10 shortly.
Full analysis from @CatsProtection on @TalkTV tomorrow from 10am to 1pm (whole show not on Jojo, sadly, mainly as my producer won’t let me).

There is a lot of distressing stuff going on in the world at the moment but the fact that #DogsAtPollingStations is the number 1 trend in the UK on the day of the #GeneralElection2024 is a sign that not all is lost 🐶
@gnome_alice I love this too, though wasn’t completely sure of its name, also Japanese Anemones…have a gorgeous clump in my garden descended from a bit given to me by a lovely, wise & kind friend who left us aged 99…every time I look at them I smile and think of her 💚 Funny things plants..
😔 makes you so very proud to be British … the depth of their vocabulary is particularly impressive. Total cowards trying to intimidate small groups of people & worse thing is to see the age of the younger guys, they are the next generation of these dinosaurs 😔
A reminder of so many sunrises at sea. This was sent to me this morning by my mate Peter who fishes from St Mawes. Enjoy the dolphins & listen to his appreciation of a fine start to the day.
Unable to trust what I see on social media (and even the news) I went to watch the Pro Palestine March from Vauxhall Bridge in London. Here is what I saw.
