It's fantastic to see a rally being held on this issue
The expansion of universal free school meals to all primary pupils is a hugely important step in reducing food poverty and the stigma surrounding it, but we can still go so much further as a country
No young person should have to go hungry, regardless of age or stage of education
SYP's #FromScotlandsYoungPeople manifesto clearly shows that young people broadly support eliminating costs associated with school in many different areas
We also discussed some really important issues for our committee to work on over the next year, and we cannot wait to get back to work raising awareness of the most pressing issues facing our constituents during the pandemic
Hey, this account has been kinda quiet eh!
Earlier our committee elected our new convener and depute convener for over the next year, with @Ryan_KellyMSYP returning to the role of convener and @AbiLennon1 taking up the position of depute convener
Tonight we elected our new Convener and Depute elect team for 2020-21
We're happy to announce our Convener-elect @Dylan_MSYP and Depute-elect @Ryan_KellyMSYP!
Over the past 6 months our Rural Affairs subgroup have been consulting and bringing together this report about rural mental health.
This is a fantastic report and we encourage you all to give it a read.

We welcome the introduction of a Bill to incorporate #UNCRC into Scots law.
Today's announcement is a significant moment in realising our shared vision of ensuring all children & young people growing up in Scotland have their human rights respected, protected and fulfilled.
In these uncertain times, the legal protection for children and young people’s rights is more important than ever.
Today marks a milestone in over 10 years of campaigning by children, young people and wider civil society, and we're proud to be a part of it! #UNCRCScotland
