Another great mobilisation in the Netherton North Ward today for Conor O'Neill followed by our public meeting where Conor and Bootle East Candidate Dean Young gave their pitch to voters.
Vote @TUSCoalition in
Netherton North, Bootle East and Bootle West on May 7th
@TUSCoalition team out again this afternoon in full force with the help of @SocStuLv in the Netherton North ward.
Vote Conor Anthony O'Neill on May 7th.
Sefton Labour has failed us and he's the only candidate putting Socialism back on the agenda.

Hannah talks to us about the employment crisis and how students can get organised!
Come to the Socialist Students Conference on Saturday 14th February at University Place, University of Manchester, 176 Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9PL

@zarahsultana@socialistudents agrees entirely and it is why we have invited you to our national conference on 14 February. We look forward to hearing a response as we continue to build our ‘Funding Not Fees’ campaign!
I have been banned from standing for the executive committee of #YourParty. Here is my letter of appeal (and a photo of a 500 strong protest 35 years ago when I was last banned from participation in a political party).
Your Party CEC election: Socialist Party candidates have been informed that they have been judged ineligible to stand. Appeals have been submitted.

I have put my name forward for a West Midlands seat on the Executive of #YourParty.
My immediate priority on the CEC will be to work to put trade unions at the heart of building our new party – and to campaign for the widest anti-austerity and anti-war challenge in the 2026 elections.
Your Party conference decisively rejected a ban on dual membership. Jeremy and Zarah have consistently said Your Party will be different, fully controlled by its members. I therefore believe the members should be allowed to vote for whom they want on the CEC, with no bans on candidates decided in secret!
Next week, I hope to be able to explain to you in more detail why I am seeking your nomination. Solidarity.
Support the UCU strikes to save further education!
This week from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 January,
Socialist Students sends its full solidarity to all UCU members taking strike action and our members will be on the picket lines in support.

“Of the organisation of the working class as a class through the trade unions, the programme says not a word. And yet that is a point which in my view is of the greatest importance… The trade unions are the real class organisations of the proletariat, in which the workers fight out their daily struggles against capital… To leave them out in the cold is to commit a grave mistake.” — Engels on the Gotha Programme in a letter to August Bebel (March 1875)
@thisisyourparty We need to have people's budget conferences in the run up of the local elections.
Initiated by trades councils or your party branches inviting all trade union proto branches, community, campaign and socialist groups to agree to fight for a no cuts budget and plans for fighting.
Socialist Students statement: Solidarity with Linksjugend. Opposing the capitalist Israeli state is not antisemitism!
Defend the right to debate the way forward in the Middle East!
