On Saturday, July 30th, the Swain High Men's and Women's Soccer teams will be hosting an Alumni Games Soccer fundraiser at Swain County Memorial Stadium. Any former Swain High soccer player who graduated from Swain High School is welcome to join in and play.

We are starting our Swain High Women’s Soccer workouts on January 10th. We will practice at the Middle School field. For the first two weeks we will go Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. After that we will increase the days. The plan is to have the workouts from 4:30 until dark.

Some honors for our Men’s Soccer team. All Conference and All Region for Seniors Gavin Lanning, Lucas Trantham and Levi Trantham. Landon Matz got those and SMC Player of Year and All State. Coach Cline was Region and Conference Coach of the Year.

The second night of the book study was last night with both soccer teams. It was neat to hear some of the players talk about people that inspired them. It ranged from a parent, a professional athlete, a teammate or even a brother. The focus was “Actions Speak Louder than Words".
