The Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations and the Global Peace Chain Foundation jointly hosted jointly hosted a high-level panel discussion on the theme of "Youth Leadership and Global Diplomacy: A Collaborative Approach to Conflict Resolution."
Assistant UN Secretary General for Youth Affairs, Dr. Felipe Paullier was the keynote speaker of the event, whereas other speakers included Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon; Permanent Representative of OIC Observer Mission to the UN H.E. Ambassador Hameed Ajibaiye Opeloyeru; Permanent Representative of Egypt to the UN H.E. Osama Abdel Khalek; Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the UN Ambassador Geng Shuang; Deputy Permanent Representative of Observer Mission of Palestine to the UN, Ambassador Ms. Feda M. Abdelhady; Deputy Permanent Representative of Turkiye to the UN Ambassador Mrs. Fikriye Asli Güven; Deputy Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Mr. Tofig Musayev; and the youth advocate Usman Amjad.
In their remarks, the speakers highlighted the greater need of engaging, and encouraging youth to play a more proactive role in promoting peace and resolving conflicts.
The statements were followed by an interactive session. Mr. Kamran Zafar, CEO of the Global Peace Chain Foundation delivered the closing remarks.
Ms. Saima Saleem, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Pakistan and Mr. Muhammad Ahmad, Co-Founder and Director of the Global Peace Chain Foundation co-hosted the proceedings of the panel discussion.
