couldn't agree more.

back in college, coding felt impossibly hard when i first started.

then i found competitive programming, and it was actually fun. staying up till 3am frying our brains over one problem, reading up on some random algorithm just to see if it could crack it.

then corporate happened. terrifying at first, but you slowly start enjoying the process of building something. the first time a feature i wrote showed up on the UI, that "wow" moment hit different.

now all of that has faded with LLMs.

and the harsh part is, nobody seems to like what they do anymore.

I used to want a software engineering job.
