One Nation must be fought relentlessly. That has to be the lesson the left and the working-class movement takes from the victory of Hanson’s far-right racist party in the Farrer by-election.

if youre an australian rightly outraged by this then you should come to a rally near you, supported by @vic_socialists, to fight the barbaric invasion of venezuela and demand that australia break the us alliance
@Revmira_RCO I think you overestimate how much workers care about the ALP and actually the most left wing workers in the country don't like them because of decades of sellouts. Concretely if the aus left joined the ALP, argued to those people to join, it would be a disaster and bkwrds step.
@Revmira_RCO This is quite clearly a step backwards. Why are Marxists trying to organise inside the ALP? It's not the 70's, no left wing audience inside the ALP anymore. Seems more like a faction dedicated to left-cover and convenience. Best thing a Marxist in the ALP can do is leave.
The urgent task remains to construct a powerful socialist movement with roots in the working class, with all its wonderful diversity. Only by developing such an instrument can we end the far right for good.
