@RupertLowe10 You're really hyping this up Rupert. If you get anything shy of 10% of the vote, that'll be a complete embarrassment considering how much you're saying it'll shock us.
@RestoreBritain If they let Restore on the panel, they'd need to let the Monster Raving Loony Party on who will likely get around the same number of votes.
@Johnisnotjoker@Nigel_Farage Funny how nearly 70 million people in Britain who were filled with pure cold rage didn't go out and throw wheelie bins at police officers. But a few hundred go too far and that's Farages fault?
The female officer excelled with compassion and intuition, but lacked with assertiveness and problem-solving ability.
She was the first officer to see that something was wrong with Henry. The other male officers were, for whatever reason, blind to that fact. She was the first to correctly say that they should call an ambulance, and check for stab wounds. She took intuition by checking his pupils and correctly identified when they weren't responding. None of the male officers took those steps, they should all be tried for criminal negligence.
As much as the female officer did right, she still failed to adequately speak up to her male colleagues.
In other words, her intuition was right but her execution was horribly wrong.
@thomson_xyz@PolitlcsUK Precisely! The only reason he was lawfully allowed to carry a knife in public is because he is Sikh and the knife was a ceremonial dagger.
Therefore the only reason he's had 10 years knocked off his sentence was because of his religion.
It began at 15 years because he had a lawful reason to carry the knife. The ONLY reason he could lawfully carry a knife in public was because the knife was a religious article and he was Sikh.
So yes it wasn't explicitly mentioned, but as adults and intelligent British Citizens we don't need to be spoon-fed every single word.
I actually think that's a good thing. Burnham will have initial support and it could temporarily revive labour. If they restarted the 5-year clock they could do a lot more damage to this country than if they just wait until 2029 to call the next General Election.
Labour may win a General Election on the back of Burnham's win and promises of a new direction, Labour has absolutely no chance when the country has to survive another 2-3 years under Burnham and learns he's even worse than Starmer.
Victoria Derbyshire asks if Jonathan Hinder can put himself in the officers' shoes, but I wonder if she has tried putting herself in Henry's shoes.
Imagine you've just been stabbed, and one of those stab wounds will be fatal. You are lying on your killers driveway after he's stolen your phone, meaning you cannot call for help yourself. You see the Digwa family take the murder weapon, and plan a story which will ultimately land you in handcuffs and under arrest, rather than your killer.
Finally, you hear sirens coming. You think you are about to be saved. The police officers walk calmly over to the house; you hear them ask Vikrum's brother if he has any injuries. The officers finally turn their attention to you, and you finally have the opportunity to get help. You tell the officers you can't breathe, you tell the officers you've been stabbed.
Imagine now how your heart would drop as you hear the officer scoff and say "I don't think you have mate". Your spine would shiver as you are then dragged by your belt like a ragdoll across your killers driveway, have handcuffs placed on you, and read your rights. All the while, your killer and his family are walking freely above you.
Even though Henry likely could not have been saved, he could have at least died knowing he was believed rather than dying thinking his killers got away with their crimes.
"To me it's unfathomable"
Former police officer and Labour MP, Jonathan Hinder, criticises the actions of police in the murder of Henry Nowak by Vickrum Digwa: "the use of handcuffs is just impossible to explain".

You ask if Jonathan Hinder can put himself in the officers' shoes. Why not put yourself in Henry's shoes.

@PolitlcsUK If it isn't about deporting the members of the Digwa family who migrated to the United Kingdom and then aided and abetted a murder, then I don't want to hear it.
@TRobinsonNewEra Why has he not been charged with aiding and abetting the murder? Had he called an ambulance instead of the police, and had he been honest about Henry being stabbed, Henry may very well be alive today.
The ENTIRE family is an accessory to murder.
This is hardly the chaotic scene I was told about.
Henry was immobilised on the floor. You can audibly hear the man stood over Henry saying that there was a lot of blood. It would have taken the officers seconds to quickly check Henry over before placing him in handcuffs.
Even though Henry would have likely still died, he would have still at least died knowing he was being believed., rather than dying thinking he was under arrest while lying in his killers driveway, with his killer walking free.
What blows my mind is that if I, a Christian man, committed the exact same offence as Vikrum, I would have likely been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison.
Murder with a knife almost always begins at 25 years because it's illegal to carry a knife in public. Simply because Vikrum was Sikh he was effectively able to earn himself a 4-year 'get out of jail free' card.
This is yet another example of our two-tier state. Assuming ceteris paribus, assuming I committed the exact same offence under the exact same circumstances with the sole exception of not being Sikh, I would have been incarcerated for an additional 4 years.
If Sikh's want the immense privilege and responsibility to carry deadly weapons in public, a privilege no other British Citizen is afforded, then they should pay dear consequences if they choose to use that religious article to commit a crime. In other words, it should be an aggravating factor which adds time to their sentence - not the opposite.
