11 lessons from the greatest basketball player of all time:
1. Trust the Game: "Be true to the game, because the game will be true to you."
2. Master the Fundamentals: "Get the fundamentals down and the level of everything you do will rise."
3. Only try to please yourself: "Itโs heavy duty to try to do everything and please everybodyโฆ"
4. Embrace failure: "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
5. Stay in the present: "If you start to think about who is going to win the championship, youโve lost your focus."
6. Expect before you have: "You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them."
7. The only failure is not trying: "I can accept failure, everyone fails at something."
8. Mastering your obstacles: "Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up."
9. The game never stops: "I've never lost a game. I just ran out of time."
10. Play to win: "I play to win, whether during practice or a real game."
11. The difference between winners and losers: "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen."
