@StatisticUrban This is nonsense. You're looking at, what, 2 or 3 races and extrapolating across the entire party despite incredibly strong showings by establishment candidates in numerous swing states? You're trying to spin a narrative that simply isn't true.
@Podzhog_Sarayev@W96Emily They did mass in 2022, and they got stomped because they were poorly organized and used an insufficiently small force on too many axes of advance. They then turned to focusing mostly just on the east and rebuilding the force. They've been squandering that force since.
@Podzhog_Sarayev@W96Emily Russia can't mass forces because drones allow full vision of the battlefield. Mass attacks are destroyed by drones and artillery before they reach the front.
@Ravioli628@FoydelTom@mattyglesias It actually means selling our debt so we can print money at home, which was actually a cheat code. If we had managed our debt, we could have made that work indefinitely.
@Ravioli628@FoydelTom@mattyglesias That has nothing to do with us controlling the global financial system, and everything to do with restrictive policies towards building new housing, and bad foreign policy, namely tariffs and the Iran War. Inflation would be under 3% without tariffs and the war.
@Ravioli628@FoydelTom@mattyglesias It actually did. It's why the US controlled the global financial system, and a bunch of countries even followed us into the folly that was Iraq. The US sat atop the greatest global alliance system the world had ever seen, and it was largely built on post-war goodwill.
@coffeewithkream@DavidShuster Over a MAGA republican? Absolutely. These people would be sidelined by Dem leadership if they actually got elected. MAGA psychos are the leadership of the GOP. I hate both socialists and fascists, but I hate socialists less.
@EducatingTrump2@DavidShuster No they wouldn't. There is no major constituency in any of those swing states that gives much of a shit about Israel-Gaza. The polling consistently shows that it's one of the least relevant issues for swing voters. Affordability, the economy, and healthcare are the big 3.
@coffeewithkream@DavidShuster You can hate the party and still vote for them. I disapprove of the Democratic party as a whole, but you bet your ass I'd stand in a blizzard for 12 hours in November to vote for the Democratic candidate in the midterm.
@Captain_Fubar There was nothing any government could have done (except maybe China in the very early days) to contain Covid. Responses could have been better, but the pandemic was unavoidable once it started spreading throughout China. Covid was simply too infectious.
@pengabdisebongi@seigekkas All great idols are cunning. When we say someone was born to be an idol, it's not that their natural personality is that of an idol, but that they have the instincts and skill to turn themselves into true idols.
@x3dlllllll@Wilson__Valdez Clinton and Harris were both deeply flawed candidates. The Harris situation in particular was entirely avoidable if Biden had just not tried to run for re-election. Both were also perceived by the electorate as being too far left.
