I was really unhappy with FFXIV, but I took a break, realize what were things wrong with the game and things that were just me, and I come back with a way more mature view of the game. And to think I was so close to being one of those insufferable doomers with a hateboner for DT
fuck, reading my old posts of when DT launched, I was clearly miserable and burnt out from the game. Thank god I realized that, took a long break, and am back at having fun playing XIV, and I'm hyped as I've never been before for Evercold
tbh, I'm enjoying the heck out of the endgame of Dawntrail, my only criticism is how the content is spread out, which is a much better problem than not having those content like in Endwalker
"this game doesn't require you to log in every day and you can take breaks" and "the game needs more level cap/current content that feels fun to grind/repeat and can keep people occupied" are statements that do not contradict each other
