This is my map of the Island of Sodor, as depicted in the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Model Series Seasons 1-5.

I attempted to make a television series map of the Island of Sodor.
Template by a reddit user by the name of Subi_Reacts.
Inspired by the great @TheUnluckyTug, @SodorMapped and Traininspector11G2 via DeviantART.
I'll be happy to answer any questions y'all have about this map!
Have to keep the agenda alive
When I was a kid, PBS Sprout would ALWAYS play this episode and I couldn’t understand why
Even the adults at PBS knew this was Britt and David’s masterpiece
@thomastugsfan14 I’m curious if the intention was for Maron to be the original junction to the “Other Railway”, as it has a 2nd platform with 2 lines that end going west into the station.
The Main Line could technically still continue, just as part of the Other Railway in the early seasons
This is an extremely interesting topic that needs to be explored more, as there’s a bunch of interesting little tea leaves to read into
My main question would be this: is Maron supposed to be the end of the main line? What about Edward & Gordon where Gordon goes past Maron?
In David Mitton's map, the other end of the line is Brendam.
East of Maron does not exist during S1-3A, and Maron is just a simple station with no sheds.
So Brendam basically took Barrow's original role of Percy going somewhere far away from Thomas’ branch line. (2/3)
In short, while we absolutely can’t prove anything, what are the odds greater of:
Whoever designed this toy went out of their way to augment this part of the map so it just happened to line up with how Kirk Ronan would theoretically work in the TVS? Or they had other material?
Now, call me crazy, but take a look at these previous 2 posts of mine where I analyzed the section of Main Line in between Maron and Crovan’s Gate on the 1991 and 1994 David Mitton maps.
That looks AWFULLY similar to what is shown on this map, no?

As you’ll recall, S4 establishes Crovan’s Gate as a location, and since we never see or hear a mention of Cronk, Killdane or Kellsthorpe Road during the original series, it’s safe to assume they don’t exist and the Main Line runs directly from Maron to Crovan’s Gate as of S4

The reason I believe this may be significant is, simply put, the shape of these two lines just so happens to be exactly how this part of the Main Line would theoretically look if it followed the established canon of S4 & 5 of the Model Series
The first thing that really caught my eye when I saw this map was this part of the Main Line between Maron, Kirk Ronan and Crovan’s Gate
As you can see, this is completely unique and the closest we could get was Frankensteining the road and rail in the section to fit the shape
This map is from a 2004 Tomy toy (https://t.co/QpzlhQWhG7)
The map appears to be a VERY loose trace of the 1983 RWS map, albeit with road often traced instead of rail.
BUT, west Sodor is very messy, and appears to have elements from the S3 map. More on that in this thread:

I’m going to quickly dive into a few things about the map that really stood out to me, @TrainzModeler does touch on a couple of them here that seem to line up with the HIT Writer’s Bible from just a year before this toy was released
@ScaleWharf I'm just saying. This has to be based on something possibly, mainly looking at the haunted Henry branch being east of Wellsworth with that line shooting up from Maron, & that the western brendam line lines up with how the bible describes it sorta.
@ScaleWharf is doing the reasonable thing here by getting you all to temper your expectations going in, as this is no smoking gun
With that said, this map is unique enough to where there genuinely could be something to it. And yes I do mean as it pertains to the TVS though S5
