@FreddyLA7 Virginia Tech is a school you need to go to for a game this year. The town is a true college town that loves the school and the energy in the stadium is electric. It’s in Blacksburg, VA and the surrounding area has the Blue Ridge mountains, which are gorgeous in the Fall!
I'm not sharing any of the "senator destroys fauci" clips because it does NOT matter. You either put him in prison forever or you're complicit in his crimes. This goes the same for Trump, the AG, Rand Paul or the entire GOP.
I don't want sound bites.
I want to hear handcuffs.
The way this woman rewrites every dang thing to suit some random narrative she has in her head about her life is fascinating and ridiculous, all at the same time.
I remember watching this play out live where Will was laughing his butt off at Chris’ jokes, including the GI Jane joke he made about Jada. It was the look that she gave him while he was laughing that made him sober up and, next thing we knew, he was on stage slapping Chris.
Jada Pinkett Smith speaks about the 2022 Oscars incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. She says that when she saw Chris come out as a presenter, she told Will he wasn’t going to be able to help himself. When Chris made the joke, she looked at Will because she knew it was coming. She also reveals that she and Will hadn’t referred to each other as husband and wife since 2016, so she was surprised when he called her his wife. She says she attended the Oscars as family, not as Will’s wife.
“When i first saw Chris name come up on stage as one of the presenter, I looked at Will and I say he’s not gonna be able to help himself, this is gonna be something, i knew. So when Chris said what he said i looked to Will as if to say see, i knew it. And then i was like that’s not cool to talk about a medical condition that can’t be cured. There was an aspect of that i was as shocked as anyone because Will and I hadn’t been referring to eachother as husband and wife since 2016, i was like wife? Me? That’s right I am your wife. And i came as family I actually didn’t go to the oscars as Will’s wife”
@allie__voss Home that evening would be possible. That day was a blast for me. It was fun for my guests and hopefully just a mild inconvenience. Brides need to be HUMBLED more often with their selfish requests. A well placed “no” could save a lot of people a lot of money
@allie__voss Lives outside of this one big day. I wanted people to enjoy the day and to know we really appreciated the time, energy, and effort it took for them to come to our wedding. We fed them well, had a crap ton of dessert options, and did it earlier in the afternoon so that a drive
Co-ed volleyball. And a government official making fun of them and saying “be more competitive” is dismissive of their legitimate concerns for safety and for their rights to playing with women only in a single sex sport space.
I have played volleyball for years and have coached volleyball for even more years than I played. One time I had a ball spiked at me so hard it knocked me back onto my butt when it made contact with my face. Stung a bit, but no damage.
That volleyball’s velocity was MAX 20 mph
A Democrat state senator, Catherine Miranda of Arizona, is being criticized for her response to a former NCAA volleyball player, Kaylie Ray, who led a team forfeit against SJSU in 2024 during the school's trans athlete scandal.
Miranda said, "you look pretty healthy" and then questioned Ray's competitiveness.
Ray has given me a full response to Miranda's comments.
"I wonder if she could look Riley Gaines, Brooke Slusser, Lainey Armistead, Madison Kenyon, Mary Kate Marshall, and every single girl who has been forced to compete against a man in the eyes and tell them they simply are not competitive enough?
"It sends a dangerous message to young girls in sports. It says that if you do not want your place or your awards taken by boys then you must be weak or afraid. It tells girls that if they care about their safety or want fair competition then they somehow lack toughness.
"As a young woman, that message is deeply discouraging. Wanting fairness does not make someone a coward. Wanting safe and equal competition does not mean a girl does not have what it takes. It means she respects herself and the effort and dedication that women have put into building opportunities in sports.
"Thinking this way risks erasing women’s sports entirely. It ignores the purpose of Title IX and dismisses the generations of women who fought to create spaces where female athletes could compete and succeed. No single woman has the right to give away the opportunities and protections that so many others worked so hard to secure."
In the Olympics, the men were serving the ball at an average of 84 mph and the women were closer to 62. A 22 mph difference is ginormous. And I watched that season as the SJSU CONSTANTLY spiked the ball and slammed women in the face with it. These women did not sign up to play
@QuayQuay349 Yelling at them because “what’s the big deal?” Or “can’t kids talk to each other?” Or whatever bs excuse. If the little stuff slides, it all slides. Quit making teachers dread calling home. Sheesh.
@QuayQuay349 And all of a sudden, i became aware of how disruptive she was in class talking a bunch. Not the worst of the behaviors in the room, so they didn’t tell me. But once they did, I got all over her for it. But they didn’t call me before because they didn’t want yet another parent
The best thing safe adults can do for kids is to set boundaries and to show them that certain things are WEIRD for adults to do. The result is kids will notice a difference and be better able to spot unsafe adults. Henry Cavill set MBB up for success in a world full of creeps,
Millie Bobby Brown says that when she worked with Henry Cavill on Enola Holmes, he set very clear boundaries because she was only 15 at the time and he wanted to keep their relationship strictly professional.
In an interview, Millie explained that Cavill had “terms and conditions,” joking that whenever she tried to ask about his personal life he would quickly shut it down with a simple “Millie, no,” to which she would reply “Understood.” She said she actually respected that a lot, describing him as someone who is naturally more private and reserved.
She also noted that their dynamic felt more “adult” and professional compared to the playful friendships she shares with her Stranger Things castmates, emphasizing that Cavill’s approach helped maintain a respectful and appropriate working environment while they filmed together.
And he showed her how to pass that on to actors younger than her in the future. She now knows how to behave as a safe adult for others. The ripple effect could be HUGE here. But the good news is people are claiming him having boundaries is what’s creepy and are belittling
