Something challenging was working with a student that did not want to focus. It took bribing and separation from the other students for the work to get done. I took charge of the situation the whole time and it was definitely took patience. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

A challenge my co-op and I faced was a new type of curriculum math work. We were unsure our self’s what the workbook was asking us to do. we had to think about skipping the lesson page or have the students try it. This helps w collaborative thinking. #TAP2026#edchat@PVHStap

Something I thought about was how no two days are the same when working at a school. That’s something that confirms my thoughts about wanting to be a teacher. I love the idea of getting to laugh with the kids and see new things each day. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

My co-ops adjustment to when students aren’t understanding the lesson is something eye opening. She saw the kids were struggling and went off the notes and came up with a way to make it more clear. This is important to be able to adjust in any situation.#tap2026#edchat@PVHStap

i’ve seen more behavior issues that have to been addressed by private talks. Being able to be part of the talks helps me see how my co-op talked to them in a calm matter without getting the child worked up. This helps me to handle dif situations #Tap2026 #tedtalk @PVHStap

A rewarding feeling is when I work with students and they have a light bulb moment. They get a sense of relief and then they get excited and want to keep learning. Those moments are so sweet and adorable to see. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

Watching a sub teacher try to keep a class focused is challenging. Kids act like the rules hit pause the moment a regular teacher is out. Keeping them focused and respectful is challenging. Different ways of making them listen is smth i try to understand#tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

During the week, observing how the lessons are organized is eye opening. Especially seeing the intentional movement to keep the students focused. The order of activities is more of a strategy. Kids need the movement moments to reset and refocus. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

Something challenging was the new standardized learning. New ways of teaching addition packets. This was a struggle among the kindergartners. It took two days to break it down and really understand it. Working with them slowly and patiently is key. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

It always means so much when students remember and use my name. Seeing their progress after working one on one, is something i am really proud of them for. Encouraging them to want to keep doing math problems warms my heart. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap

During my first two weeks of placement, something eye opening was the different learning techniques certain kids have. Along with the classroom management we’ve practice that is applied in the elementary classroom. #tap2026 #edchat @PVHStap
