Twice a month I get an email from a founder who addresses the email to “<firstname>” or some random name not mine. As someone who does a lot of email marketing, I get how this can be easily messed up. Mistakes happen. But how you follow up is most important. Nail the follow up.
Situation to avoid 100% of the time for your startup:
“I have built this thing. Does anyone in the world have a problem that this solution could help with?”
Learn to sell.
If you can’t sell, code.
If you can’t code, design.
If you can’t design, market.
If you can’t market, recruit.
If you can’t recruit, learn to sell.
