in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you're innocent in the story you've created.
I'm at a point in my life where I pray to keep meeting the right people. People who genuinely want the best for me, hold me in high regard, and add peace to my life.
I sit quietly and realize that God has been taking care of me this whole time. Maybe not in luxurious ways. Maybe not an easy life. But through protection, provision, good health, surviving hard days and always having just enough to keep going.
You look back and see how God has been ordering your steps all this while, and you cannot help but just worship. How you make decisions every other day of your own accord, yet God somehow already purposed these things according to His divine will, will forever amaze me.
Whatever you do, pray for the ability to see your own sins, your own hypocrisy, and your own shortcomings. Never lose sight of that. Never get so carried away, pointing fingers that you forget you, too, have abscesses that need tending.
One thing about life .Your journey will never be identical to anyone else’s. Some make it at 26, some at 30, others at 40. The key is to learn from people but walk your own path. Move at your pace, your time will come.
