Once again our attendees didn’t disappoint earlier today with some more great answers to our @Slidoapp polls. This time we found out where attendees did their undergraduate studies, the favourite parts of their research and some of the top COVID-19 lockdown hobbies!

During our first break we’ve had brilliant answers from attendees to our @Slidoapp polls. The conference has people all over the world, some quirky job titles and remarkable diversity in ice cream preferences! COVID-19 won’t stop us from networking and getting to know each other!

Two great talks from @KeddieLab students Joe Hall and Toby Palmer before heading to lunch break! Joe talked about the properties of polymer coatings with an aim to increase crop yield and Toby gave us an insight on surfactant distribution during film formation. @SurreyMiNMaT

Soft matter physics is the basis for numerous industrial applications. Dr. David Elliott from @AkzoNobelUK talked about colloid physics and how it can be applied to formulated high-tech paint. #softmatterphysics
