Excuses are DANGEROUS because eventually YOU start building your identity around them - and even worse, YOU start believing them!

• My coach doesn’t believe in me
• I always have bad luck
• The umpire squeezed me
• It was too cold
• It was too hot
• The field was bad
• My catcher sucks
• My teammates aren’t good
• I bat too low in the order
• I don’t get enough innings
• I wasn’t fully healthy
• I was tired
• My arm was dead
• I didn’t sleep good
• The radar gun was off
• They weren’t scouting my game
• Nobody posts me
• I don’t have exposure
• I don’t have money for travel ball
• The coach plays favorites
• I’m too small
• I’m too big
• I started too late
• I don’t have a trainer
• We don’t lift
• We lift too much
• I don’t have access to a facility
• I don’t have enough followers
• Nobody believes in me
• My velo will jump eventually
• I’ll lock in later
• I’m different in games
• I just need one opportunity

Meanwhile somebody else is waking up earlier, training harder, recovering better, and finding a way.

The harsh truth?

Most players don’t get passed by talent. They get passed by accountability.
