Today I went through cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and attacks. Covered different types of attacks, ways to mitigate them, and also looked at vulnerability assessment agencies.

Finally done with the Network Technician career path. I still don’t feel completely grounded in networking yet, so I’ll be taking on more courses and labs to strengthen my knowledge.

Got into Network Security today. Learned the basics of securing a network, the different systems used to defend it, and some of the protection measures in place.

Wrapped up Cybersecurity Threats,Vulnerabilities & Attacks. Learned how threat actors gain access to systems and, more importantly,the different ways organizations can prevent and mitigate the attacks.

Day 38 of my Cybersecurity Journey

Wrapped up IPv6 Neighbor Discovery today. Learned how IPv6 replaces ARP with Neighbor Discovery (ND) to resolve addresses and discover devices on a network. seeing how IPv6 improves on some of the limitations of IPv4.

Wrapped up routing at the network layer. Learned how packets move within a local network and across remote networks, and how routing tables guide those decisions to get traffic to the right destination.

Covered the Data Link Layer today. Looked into physical vs logical topologies, how devices communicate using MAC addresses, and the access methods that prevent collisions on a network.
