Death of the innocents

the hate crime continues, this time? worst.

they are targeting civilians and innocents lives. without hesitation these are no longer humane act, civilians home are being boomed, children fleeing from schools in fear. They are using advance artillery, F-16, Toxic Fumes and Suicide drones.

Elderly, children are no longer feel safe in their home due to booms being dropped over their heads during schools time, 46 civilians were injured, 9 were killed (1 infant). Do you call this defending your sovereignty? by misplacing over 12 thousands family from their home a total of 50 thousands people from the place they used to call home.

Civilians has nothing to do with your failure to lead your own country and your failure to help your people during the flood. Yet you are trying to hide all it.

What we Cambodian can do now, is help those who are misplaced, by donating to a trusted source and help those who are in need during these hard times.

Cambodia calls for:
*Immediate medical care and protection for the injured civilians.
*A thorough and neutral investigation to establish the facts, with independent observers if necessary.
*All parties to exercise restraint and respect international norms to prevent further harm to civilians.

We urge Thailand to ensure the safety of Cambodian citizens near the border and to cooperate fully with efforts to clarify the situation.

Her Excellency Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Under Secretary of State and the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, would like to inform the general public, both national and international media outlets, concerning the situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border as follows:

At approximately 03:50 PM, Thai troops opened fire on Cambodian civilians residing in the area of Prey Chan Village, O’ Bei Choan Commune, O’ Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The attack resumed at 05:54 PM and continues with their military activities up until now.

According to the primary information from the local authority, 3 civilians were injured and 1 death. It should be noted that this attack occurred after the Thai forces engaged in numerous provocative actions for many days with the objective of instigating confrontations.

During the above incident, our Cambodian forces and relevant authorities—unarmed and stationed in the area—were also present to ensure the safety of Cambodian citizens. Both our forces and authorities strictly adhere to the ceasefire agreement, the Joint Declaration, as well as previous agreements reached by both Cambodia and Thailand, and are fully committed to resolving the issue peacefully and in accordance with international law.

Based on the above information, the public, both national and international media outlets, are advised to be informed accordingly.

A seven-nation Interim Observer Team (IOT), led by Malaysian Defence Attaché to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and joined by other residents and non-resident Defence Attaché to the Kingdom of Cambodia conducted an observation visit to Prey Chan Village, O’ Bei Choan Commune, Srok O’ Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The visit was conducted following the reports of illegal barbed wire installation by the Thai armed forces on August 12–13, 2025. These developments occurred subsequent to the ceasefire agreement and the release of the joint statement during the Extraordinary Cambodia –Thailand General Boundary Committee Meeting (GBC Meeting) held on 7 August 2025, in Malaysia.
