Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement. He has been denied access to his family, his personal doctors, and even basic human rights including books, which he has not been allowed for the last five months.

Today, the 12th of May, CM Sohail Afridi, along with the entire KP Assembly, members of the Punjab Assembly, members of the National Assembly, and Senators from PTI, will come to Adiala Jail to stand in solidarity with their leader, Imran Khan.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi remain illegally imprisoned and are being subjected to systematic psychological and physical torture through unlawful isolation.
For the past seven months, Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement. He has been denied access to his family, his personal doctors, and even basic human rights including books, which he has not been allowed for the last five months.

At this moment, our primary demand is clear: Imran Khan must immediately be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for comprehensive medical examinations and proper treatment for his eye condition.

Today, the 12th of May, CM Sohail Afridi, along with the entire KP Assembly, members of the Punjab Assembly, members of the National Assembly, and Senators from PTI, will come to Adiala Jail to stand in solidarity with their leader, Imran Khan.

Their presence will highlight the issue both nationally and internationally, the ongoing mistreatment and psychological torture being inflicted upon Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. It is also intended to build pressure on this government (a government brought into power through stolen mandate from Imran Khan) to immediately transfer him to Shifa International Hospital without any further delay.

Our family once again strongly urges Imran Khan’s supporters NOT to come to Adiala Jail today. Police will not arrest elected representatives and Senators, but the supporters remain at serious risk of arrest and mistreatment.

آج پاکستان کی تاریخ کے سب سے بڑے false flag operation کو تین سال ہو چکے ہیں۔ روزِ اول سے کہہ رہا ہوں کہ یہ حملہ، فوج بشمول عاصم منیر، کی تحریکِ انصاف کے خلاف ایک سازش تھی۔ تین سال گزر جانے کے باوجود ایک بھی ثبوت پیش نہیں کیا جا سکا۔ انہوں نے خود CCTV فوٹیجز غائب کیں۔

No, Jibran. You are being the same burger you have always been. Asim Munir is not mentally ill. He happens to be the army chief, and every army chief in Pakistan becomes a criminal by virtue of the position. Before Asim, there was Bajwa, who even murdered the differently abled Zillay Shah and pursued Arshad Sharif to Kenya, where he was killed, not before being brutally tortured. Every single military person in uniform, from a general to a sepoy, is part of this crime. They are not mere bystanders. They are the ones who enforce the fascism that generals and their subordinates order.

Is DG ISI Asim Malik mentally ill too?
Is DG MI Wajid Aziz mentally ill too?
Is DGC Faisal Naseer mentally ill too?
Is the colonel managing Adiala Jail mentally ill too?
Is DG ISPR Ahmed Chaudhry mentally ill too?

Were the officers and soldiers who massacred Pakistanis in D-Chowk and Muridke mentally ill too?

Were the officers and soldiers who stole our election mentally ill too?

How can there be so many mentally ill people in a single government institution? Does that ring a bell in your mind? The problem is not with Asim. The problem was not with Bajwa. The problem is not with whoever comes next. The problem lies within the military as an institution, unless and until you gain that clarity and push for its reform and accountability, nothing will ever change.

This columnist is an expert in giving references from history to trivialise the tragedies of today. If tomorrow something happens to Imran Khan in jail this expert will be quick to argue that this has not happened for the first time. These timid historians are quick to normalise and sanitise transgressions by the incumbent rulers by digging out atrocities of their predecessors from the past and cowardly refrain from taking a clear position.
