So excited to introduce the newest member of our family, Asif Rayan Hassan, a bundle of joy named after his great grandfather. Asif was so eager to join the world that we found ourselves with an unexpected home delivery, perhaps one of the crazies most traumatic experiences of our lives. My wife, displaying remarkable strength, insisted on forgoing pain meds, jk jk, she was miserable and would never do that again. Both baby and mama are thriving and we're so grateful for this beautiful addition to our lives.
@MultifamilyRob It certainly does but not going to lie, we were freaking out. The most difficult part was we couldnβt hear the instructions from the 911 operator over the screaming of my wifeβs labor pains but baby and mother are healthy and we are counting our blessings!
Regular investor:
"Real estate is great for collecting rents!"
Pro multifam real estate investor:
"Real estate helps me reduce my tax bill, it appreciates over time, I get to depreciate it on my income statement, and I can refinance to get bigger assets without paying taxes"
Starting a business is simultaneously the greatest, hardest, most rewarding, and most emotionally taxing thing I've ever done.
But the lasting effect we're having on communities across Texas is the best feeling in the world.
I wouldn't swap it for anything.
Top things to look for in Class C real estate:
1/ Location
2/ Below market rents
3/ High delinquency
4/ Location
5/ Little/no property management
6/ Location
7/ Access to travel/schools/services
Anything to add?
Location important?
If you're investing 60/40 on stocks and bonds you might have a problem right now:
Positive stock/bond correlation means when stocks are going π bonds are going π
But when stocks go π ...
Every diversified investor needs asset classes that move independently of stocks and bonds.
Enter: Real estate.
Decreased correlation, greater yield, lower volatility
What's not to love?
@gas_biz Reminds me of something Steve Jobs once said:
"You can't connect the dots looking forward - you can only connect them looking back.
Trust that the dots in your future will somehow connect"
@ReidBennettCCIM Relationships (particularly in-person) are hands down the biggest part of real estate for mw
