The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
These two images depict the stark reality of femicide in Pakistan, which has now become a national emergency.
Hina Zareef , murdered by her own father under the false pretext of “honour,” with involvement of her family, after she refused to remain in a marriage that she had not consented to. Her father had given assurances on a stamp paper that he would not harm her prior to taking her back home.
Hina Javed another young woman, murdered by her husband , an Ex Nust University Professor just 10 months into their marriage. She had suffered severe torture, was beaten, and tied up in the bathroom. Her in-laws, suspected as accomplices, remain free.
Home is not a safe place for many women and girls in this country.
These grave crimes continue with impunity. Every day, another murder, rape, assault, or kidnapping of a woman makes headlines. yet governments across Pakistan remain without any strategy or pre-emptive action to end this.
This is a national emergency, and the state’s continued inaction is unacceptable.
Please raise your voice for these two young women, and for the countless others whose lives have been ended with such brutality.

VIDEO | Jaipur, Rajasthan: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka says, "We had gone to inspect the school in Rampura-Kanwarpura village. For the past several years, the school has been operating in a buffalo shed. We had gone for an inspection last year as well, and the school was being run in a buffalo shed even then. Before we could reach the site for the inspection, their people, BJP goons, were already there. Our volunteers were assaulted first. All the media persons were present there. The police were informed, but even after we reached the spot, they did not stop. Vehicle windows were smashed, phones were broken, a woman was assaulted, my shirt was torn, and one of our team members suffered a fractured hand. They even attacked us with stones. I want to tell Madan Dilawar just one thing: You have 48 hours. These goons must be arrested. You must withdraw the order, otherwise we will launch a statewide agitation across Rajasthan. And this time, it will not just be about the schools. This time, we will demand Madan Dilawar's resignation... Today is a black day in Rajasthan's democratic history."

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani said Syria was considering joining the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, but had not yet decided.

“We don’t have a decision right now whether to join or not to join this alliance,” he added.
🇵🇰 Imran Khan's personal physician says he was tricked by Pakistani authorities during last night's hospital saga.
Dr. Faisal Sultan told reporters he was taken into police custody on his way to Adiala Jail, believing he was being brought to see Imran.
Instead he was driven in a convoy to Shifa International Hospital, while officials acted as though Imran was with them.
He says he waited nearly 4 hours, asking again and again where Imran was. Each time, he was told the former prime minister was on his way.
Then they told him Imran had already been taken back to Adiala.
If everything here was above board, why put his doctor in a fake convoy and leave him waiting on a patient who was never coming?

No surprise there. He wouldnt compromise with them, hes suffered in jail long enough while holding on to his own morals about not working with them.
Unfortunately no "deal mubarak" as our public speakers would say.
