Thailand violated the ceasefire agreement by deceitfully arresting 20 Cambodian soldiers—under the pretense of a handshake and photo opportunity. Two were shot and left on the ground, their condition still unknown. This act is a blatant breach of the Kuala Lumpur ceasefire and a serious violation of international law, specifically the 1949 Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Cambodia must urgently collect evidence and seek justice through international legal channels. These are war crimes.
