@tgiovanetti You wonder how large the federal government would be and if any unfunded mandates would exist, among other things, if that wasn’t changed!
@larssivertsen He’s the @RobGronkowski of futbal / soccer! They need to team up for a reality series where they travel the world and play sports or eat food or both or something! 🤔😀
@czabe “We are unafraid of full strength competition from the U.S. or any club, and indeed welcome it. We look forward to winning the match on Monday.” Fixed it for them!
@KTrain939913 I am about to stop following you and want to let you know why. Given the “random song of the day” branding I thought I’d get one cool song a day. But you continually post and overwhelm my feed, so goodbye for not being truthful!
@ProfMJCleveland What would it take to relocate the Supreme Court to say OKC or Branson or anywhere really - such that the Justices and family are separated from the DC environment and Washington Post cocktail circuit crowd?
The “activist Judiciary” is really not so, but is rather saying to the Legislative Branch “hey guys, it’s up to you not us (nor a President via an EO). Do your job, stop ducking and blaming others.” It will take a while for the constitutional rejiggering and Congressional Branch politics to sort out.
There is an interesting phenomenon where one side is quick to throw direct and personal blame for the (alleged) effects of a Presidential policy but never consider the reverse - such as personal accountability for the murders and human trafficking that occurred under Biden’s open border policies (and attendant sanctuary city policies). I have lost friends over this as their minds cannot compute the reverse of what they are quick to impose on those they disagree with.
@FreddyLA7 As a NH native all I can say is such a great choice and good for you! The Rockies and the western US mountains are awesome to behold, but where you are now the mountains are old and wise. Godspeed!
The first SS beneficiary paid like 25 dollars into the system and received around $25,000 during her retirement. It’s always been a generational wealth transfer. But benefits would not have been cut. The transition would have long and expensive in order to maintain benefits. The numbers were huge back then but Congress has blown past them spending on other things over the past 30 years. (The federal workforce actually went through such a transition as they slowly transferred from a defined retirement benefit system to private TSP accounts.)
@CollinRugg That was a big and meaningful fine until Caitlin Clark joined the league and got them all a substantial pay raise. The league needs to update its penalty schedule to account for the Clark effect on player salaries.
I grew up in a very small town in NH whose main street would impress "Freddy" much more than this one in Ohio. I just drove from TX to NH and back and don't really need to slow down to see every other small town in the USA along the way. That option remains for everyone but let's be serious: the Interstate Highway system is a godsend to our country.
