About 350 people died after one intervention. Vehicles are burning after another. Communities have revolted, highways have been blocked, and confidence in the judiciary is deteriorating.
The choice is no longer only between modest court reform and another crisis. It is between abolishing this Constitution and waiting for another judgment to ignite a crisis the country may no longer be able to contain.

If we say we are a Democracy now is the perfect time to see it at play… The Constitutional Court and Parliament cannot be above the will of the people.

The Constitution must work for the Citizens if it doesn’t, then something must be fundamentally wrong with this “Democracy”

This is the time we call for parliament to call a referendum on the Constitution of SA and for South Africa to withdraw from the 1951 refugee convention because it simply does not serve the will of the people of this country.

These processes give foreigners ample time to lure our sisters into marrying them for the sake of obtaining permanent residence status and, ultimately, citizenship. The asylum seeker status allows foreigners to work. All illegal foreigners who are arrested going forward will not be deported; they will buy time to stay in the country for a prolonged period by claiming asylum. We are between a rock and a hard place. Our Constitution is serving foreign interests. The court ruling allows anyone to apply for asylum seekers' permit. The ruling is one of the pull factors of illegal foreigners to the country.
