Screw it.
TLDR: I worked with Lorran for about a month and was happy with the results. After paying for another month of management services, I decided to separate from working with him 3 days later and requested a refund for the unused time. The refund was denied.
---
I was a client of Lorran's starting last month. Throughout May, he provided feedback and advice that genuinely helped me. My YouTube channel and social media accounts were performing well, and I was genuinely excited about the progress we were making. I was so thrilled to be working with a manager who understood my goals and ambitions.
On the 4th of this month, I paid to continue working together for another month. 3 days later, I decided to separate from working with him due to the situation, allegations, and Google Docs surrounding him. I had no idea about his past life until now.
I requested a refund, but Lorran declined the request, citing his no refunds policy. While I understand and respect the existence of a no refunds policy, I don't think it's unreasonable to feel that paying for an entire month of services is not equivalent to receiving only 3 days of work. I approached the conversation respectfully and genuinely hoped to part ways on good terms, but the way this was handled left a bad taste in my mouth.
I've since opened a PayPal dispute regarding the payment for this month. Whether anything comes of it remains to be seen, but at this point I've accepted that I may never see that money again.
To anyone that has any negative experiences with Lorran, my heart truly goes out to those people. I had no idea of his past actions, and I hope to find a new manager in the future that's willing to support me.
Stay safe, and I love you guys 🫂♥️
My 2 cents on Lorran.
I usually stick to my own lane when it comes to drama, liking posts to show support in secret and so on, because for a small account, mutes, blocks and so on can be a massive setback here.
But since some of my friends have been hurt by this person, I'd like to put my word forward as well.
I touched bases with Lorran briefly, he joined my discord server and seemed to try to get along with other people, he reached out in my dms, and then later he just left the server without further notice. Him being a vtuber manager I naturally thought he must've lost interest for some reason. I didn't really put much into interacting with him, because I wasn't interested in a manager at the time. Later he contacted me about a post that I had made which he seemed conflicted with. He thought it was about him, and I reassured him that it wasn't.
This is where my initial contact with him ends, and I later find that he had created a new account on this platform, because his first one was banned. I never found the reason as to why.
Seeing a lot of my moots being interested in his new account and how to succeed as a vtuber posts, I decided to check them out, and I found some takes that was slightly concerning, so I decided to quote retweet to make a single correction.
This posts was immediately jumped by a few of his goons, so I decided that he was probably best left to his own devices, because that seemed liked a retaliation with malicious intend.
All in all I saw him as someone with low self esteem, trying to find a place in the vtuber community, but his rash actions felt unprofessional, so I decided to stay clear. I'm not surprised to learn of these new events.
