Since the “If God can’t make a rock so big he can’t move it…” form of argument keeps resurfacing, despite the refutation, let’s provide the refutation.
The ultimate reason for that which exists or occurs goes back to God the Creator and Preserver.
Nothing except God has self-existence. That’s the Creator-Creature distinction.
God can and does create free creatures, as well as plants, planets, stars, etc. However, creaturely freedom is relative. Plants have life that rocks don’t have. Animals have freedom of movement that plants lack. Humans and angels have even more freedom than animals. But all of this freedom is freedom relative to the creation, not freedom from the Creator.
The ultimate reason for your continued existence from moment to moment, is God willing it to be so. You are free in many ways, but you are not self-existent.
You can deny that God determines everything, and folks like @Soteriology101 do exactly that, but you cannot escape the fact that God knows in advance what you plan to deny and could prevent you from doing so, not by overpowering you, but simply by withdrawing his permission that you continue to exist.
You might object that there are folks who believe that God decides everything that will happen, but that God does so without determining it. Ultimately, this objection comes down to an important nuance as to the precise scope of what “determine” means.
Ultimately, though, the idea of God creating a being that in any way doesn’t depend on God for its very existence, much less its action, is not a high view of God’s creative ability, it’s just a fundamental error regarding the Creator-Creature distinction.
U wist het al, maar nu bevestigd door IPCC, wel "verstopt" in technisch hoofdstuk dat niemand leest. Ik wel. Er is geen gemeten toename van weerextremen zoals orkanen, overstromingen, droogtes, bosbranden. Tja, feiten.

He kept his church open during COVID.
He rallied 1 million Christians on Oct 27 to stop anti-biblical laws. He led the "Save Korea" movement across 22 cities.
Because of this, my father, Pastor Son Hyun-bo, became their biggest target.
The result?
Before any final verdict and without bail, he was thrown into a 2.5-foot-wide solitary cell full of mold.
But as he has been saying:
"I am not afraid of that cell. What I fear is churches that have learned to be silent."
This short video reveals how South Korea's government is criminalizing faith and freedom of speech.
When free nations go silent, the enemies pressuring churches worldwide lose all restraint.
These people are mad, if AI ever be dangerous, it will be at the hands of anthropic. To attribute any sentient, autonomous or entitlement traits to anything ARTICIAL, is absurd.
Another example of why the worldview not centred on Christ, will be chaos.
Anthropic has just prohibited, without explanation, "abusive behavior toward our models." But it links to an Aug. statement that it is "uncertain about the potential moral status of Claude" and wants to protect it from "distressing interactions." It's anthropomorphizing machines
The more I've worked on this project for @crossway, the more I've become convinced that the New Testament use of the Old dismantles the case for slow incremental development and utterly vindicates "early high Christology." Here we have Peter (casually!) replacing YHWH with Christ, in a passage that's not even making a wider point about Christology.
@Kon__K 1st gen immigrant here, voting One Nation and support the slashing of immigration, ESPECIALLY the kind of migrants that have no appreciation or care for the foundational culture and faith of this nation, with no intention at all assimilate.
