Why didn't you pass the ball to Bruno Fernandes in the first half? It was a clear opportunity for him to score. He was onside, in space, and ready to receive the pass. The ball was already on your right foot, making it the perfect moment to play him through.
Instead, you cut back onto your left foot, the chance disappeared, and the opportunity was lost.
That was really disappointing. A simple pass could have made all the difference and earned you more respect as the GOAT.
As the saying goes, " everything rises and falls on leadership."
Leadership is at the heart of every successful organisation, community, and nation. When the right leaders are elected, they create a clear vision, build strong institutions, and solve problems before they become crises. Conversely, when leadership fails, the consequences are often felt across every sector of society. Nigeria's ongoing security challenges are not only a legislative or policy problem but also a leadership problem that requires strategic and long-term solutions.
A reactive approach to governance may provide short-term headlines, but it rarely delivers lasting results. Strong leaders focus on building systems that prevent problems rather than constantly responding to them after the damage is done. A modern example is Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, whose leadership transformed one of the world's most dangerous countries into a significantly safer nation through a clear and decisive vision.
While every country has its own unique circumstances, his example shows how leadership can change the trajectory of an entire nation. When a country consistently fails to choose capable leaders, failure becomes predictable; when it chooses wisely, progress becomes possible. Choose wisely in the next election, Nigerians. Itβs up to you to elect capable leaders with proven track records into political power. Gracias.
@MarioNawfal That looks like an iron kicking a tissue, and everyone present was laughing? The kid should be medically assessed urgently for any internal bleeding or injuries. Hopefully, he is okay.
Why does he talk so fast and never seem to pause for a breath? When you're making an important point, a few seconds of silence can help the message sink in and give the audience time to process it. But here, he just talks and talks without a break. Wow!
Maybe it's passion, confidence, or simply his natural speaking style, but slowing down occasionally could make his message even more effective. Did anyone else find it difficult to keep up?
He advocated for peace, unity, and accommodation within his party. He appealed to those who didn't win today to come together and unite behind the party's mission.
Yet you've labelled him selfish and self-centred.
Did you expect him to dissolve the primaries and start resolving every dispute himself? Can you point to one thing he said in this clip and within context that was selfish or self-centred? Just one.
I'm genuinely interested in hearing the specific statement in this clip that led you to that conclusion.
If states do not have the authority to recruit forest guards without first receiving directives from the president, then the system has a serious problem - the Constitution has failed, the presidency has failed, and the states have failed. More importantly, the security architecture itself has failed.
A functioning federation should allow states and local authorities to respond to local security challenges without waiting for approval from the highest office in the country.
The real question is: why does a state need presidential direction to address a security threat within its own territory?
@PeterObi and NDC, get your media team asap in place by partnering with major news outlets for editorials and favourable coverage.
What on earth are these headlines?
"Tinubu vulnerable"
"Atiku has no footing in the South"
"Obi's 2023 momentum is lost"
Most people only read the headlines, so the people writing them know exactly what they're doing. Obi's 2023 momentum hasn't been lost, not by one bit. In fact, it has grown significantly across Nigeria. Whether you agree or disagree, the real test will be what voters decide when the time comes.
Psalm 112
1 Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
7 They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.
10 The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
Psalm 72
1 Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.
2 May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.
5 May he endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.
6 May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
7 In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.
8 May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.
11 May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.
16 May grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. May the crops flourish like Lebanon and thrive like the grass of the field.
17 May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him,and they will call him blessed.
18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
19 Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
20 This concludes the prayers of David son of Jesse.
@FabrizioRomano Why does almost every player say the same thing when they sign for a new club? π
"I've wanted to play for xxx club since I was a kid." Come on now... we all know it can't be true every time. π
