@BluemeleinHeide Erstens ist es oft übertrieben, zweitens ginge es mir ums Prinzip. Ich würde es nicht wollen, dass meine Frau sich aus solchen Gründen irgendwas machen lässt.
Since we are all yearnposting at the moment. Let me share just a small selection of my own dreams/personal aspirations:
1. I'd like to find a wife and start my own family as soon as possible. Ideally my grandparents could still be around to see some of my children (this includes many subwishes).
2. I'd like to become half as respected and capable in general as my grandfather has always been. It is a legacy I must live up to (or at least try).
3. I hope to be able to host great parties for all my friends even in my sixties and seventies. I hope they all last a lifetime.
----------------------------------------------------------
4. I'd like to be able to play Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor passably well.
5. I'd like to finish a book I've been idea collecting for for ages now.
6. I'd love to place in the ZWO Astronomy Photography shortlist.
@GreeneMan6 The world is also filled to the brim with cheap erotic stuff. I think everyone is burned out from that. Romance is so much harder to find. And, I think, many have an implicit or explicit, understanding that it is much more precious as well.
Can you ever be sure of that? That's part of the thrill with romance. Until an explicitly romantic action occurs noone can be sure. Sometimes you get it wrong and it was a date for one person but not the other. Not nice but also not the end of the world. For everything else, you'd have to be more specific.
@applinie The vague sense that not every action and sentence is purely platonic. Simple example: imagine you meet over a dating app. Then there will always be a romantic subtone even if you just go grocery shopping.
