@xwanyex Well, they're preoccupied with a certain aesthetic/environment/lifestyle and claim that it reflects the virtues of their politics. So it's telling if empirical reality suggests otherwise.

@Investooooooor@MostlyMonkey IMO pursuing a "brand-name school" makes sense for undergrad, but at the point of considering grad school you should have a much more specific reason for attending than that.
@JeremyLamb19@danwaterfield Yeah, this also explains why the only justification they will accept is probable cause of cheating. Since school is just an exam proctoring and credentialing bureau, any further imposition (whether that's office hours, or even just attending lectures) is seen as illegitimate.
