Low-mid stakes player, trying to figure this whole poker thing out, and make it to the top. Process over results, and trying to make the best decision I can.
Just made up the numbers with about 30 days left of my trying to live as a poker player, and with 30 days to go I have made:
+3855$
I feel like it could have been more, as I’ve had some very high equity spots not go my way. But all in all happy, and look forward to the last bit
Underrated poker feeling
Being quite certain that your opponent is bluffing because his line or timing or whatever doesn’t make sense, you click call, and you’re just so right
What feels better?
Winning small but consistently, or winning inconsistently big but with swings?
For me winning consistently even though it’s small hits the best, proves I can beat the game.
Poker progress is weird.
One week you feel lost.
The next you suddenly see spots you didn’t even notice before.
Same games. Same stakes.
Different understanding
@jackkuehner I ended up folding, but very well could be a call in this setup, not a specialist in ICM (yet) so i don’t know if the risk is worth taking
@aktsean Ended up folding, sometimes it’s difficult when it’s lower stakes I feel, OR was not playing “normal” and opening too loose, like EP raise 55 when covered by 3+ stacks
Fixing leaks and seeing your winrate increase is such a good feeling.
This is your sign to identify your biggest leaks at the moment, and then plug that shit.
@RobinPoker_@wpt_global Really depends on the player, bad player probably not good enough to find this bluff, good player and you might just have to call
