HR: “Why did you bring a baby to work?”

Employee: “Because apparently, he works here now.”

HR Manager: “This is not funny.”

She pointed at the baby sleeping peacefully in his carrier.

“Tell that to your company directory.”

The HR manager opened her employee profile.

Under “Dependents”, there was a new entry:

Baby: Brian.

Except she didn’t have a baby.

She wasn’t even pregnant.

She stared at the screen.

“Who added that?”

HR checked the audit trail.

Someone had added Brian to her profile at 2:13 a.m.

Then things got even stranger.

Her email address had been changed.

Her emergency contact had been changed.

Her marital status had been changed to “Married.”

And apparently, according to the company’s system, she had requested six months of parental leave.

She looked at HR.

“I think your computer has a better life than I do.”

The HR manager wasn’t laughing anymore.

He called IT.

And when the IT technician checked the employee database, he found something even more ridiculous.

Brian had his own employee ID.

I took self growth and empowerment seriously and it changed and impacted my life heavily. Growth is not easy, as you'll lose so many things.

When your pain has exceed your ability to cope, we close up to the people around us and remain close off to all and sundry.

We have people in relationships threatening to cut them off at a slight mistake. Be patient with your loved ones.
