Sushant Singh Rajput.

That smiling face, with eyes that seemed to hold the stars of the sky, still lives in all our hearts.

Sushant Singh Rajput was born in Patna, Bihar. At the age of 16, he lost his mother.

He won the National Physics Olympiad and enrolled in DCE Delhi for Engineering. But he left his studies for Acting.

He had no film background or godfather.

In 2013, Shekhar Kapur chose him for the film Paani. Sushant even let go of Bajirao Mastani, but later Yash Raj Films backed out and the film was shelved. Shekhar Kapur said that because of this, he cried a lot.

For the MS Dhoni biopic, he trained like a professional cricketer for 13 months. In 2019, Chhichhore won the National Award for Best Hindi Film.

But within months of that success, seven of his signed films were taken away.

On this very day, June 14, 2020, he was found dead in his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. He was 34 years old at the time.

That morning, around 9:30 AM, he drank juice and went into his room, closed the door, and never came out again. By 2:30 PM, the news broke that Sushant Singh had han*ged himself in his apartment.

After Mumbai Police, four agencies including CBI, ED, and NCB investigated. In March 2025, the CBI filed a closure report, stating it was suicide and found no evidence of conspiracy, acquitting Rhea Chakraborty. However, his family challenged this report in court.

His father KK Singh still has one question.

How could a boy who worked so hard for everything suddenly give up?

Four agencies. Five years. No charges.

The family is still in court.

And the question still remains.

A boy from Bihar who made his name through sheer hard work without any connections or recognition. He won the National Physics Olympiad. He taught himself acting. He trained like an athlete for films. He was part of a National Award-winning film.

And at the age of 34, he left the world.
