Pocketpair says Palworld 1.0 will be the biggest update the game has received so far, with more new Pals and major changes spanning the entire game.
Players will also finally be able to explore the World Tree region and uncover more of the story.
According to John “Bucky” Buckley, version 1.0 is “bigger in scale than any update” the game has received, with “more new Pals than ever” added in a single release.
Buckley also confirmed that Pokémon-style Pal evolutions are not planned.
Instead, Pocketpair wants to focus on creating new creatures and systems, keeping each Pal as its own distinct species.

Aion 2 Producer Says ‘Friendly Competition’ With Guild Wars 3 Is a Good Thing
Aion 2 executive publishing producer Merv Lee Kwai says he’s not worried about Guild Wars 3. Instead, he sees the two games pushing each other in a positive way.
“There might be some competition between them, but I think it’s friendly competition,”
“I’m just happy that we’re both bringing products to market during this period where MMOs are struggling.”
Kwai also noted that ArenaNet, the studio making Guild Wars 3, is like a sister company to Aion 2’s team under NCSoft, so he’s happy to see both projects coming together.
“Aion 2 focuses more on massive numbers of players, like RvR. The more users, the more fun,”
NCSoft believes that means the two games can coexist and give MMO fans different kinds of experiences instead of fighting over the same audience.
You do NOT need to wipe your data for Palworld 1.0!
...but you should😇
Players can continue their existing saves if they wish, as we want to respect the time and effort you have put in.
However, due to the large number of changes to the game, including overhauls to mechanics and new content, we believe that starting a new character will give you the best experience of Palworld!
We will leave that choice up to you, Pal Tamers!
Domino’s UK just roasted the new God of War game, and Santa Monica Studio got mad and responded quickly.
Domino’s UK posted:
“God of War game with no Kratos = Pepperoni Passion with no pepperoni.”
It went viral and Santa Monica Studio got so mad:
“OK thanks for the feedback, Domino's pizza corporate account.”
When a pizza company makes fun of your game, you know something is wrong.
Alanah Pearce has confirmed that God of War: Laufey is the project she worked on during her time at Sony Santa Monica Studio.
“So here’s the God of War game I spent four years writing.”
Now it all makes sense.

Japan’s Patent Office rejected Nintendo’s latest patent for monster-catching mechanics on touch-screen devices,The application number is 2026-019762.
The patent covered common actions like tapping to move your character, throwing capture items at wild creatures, summoning caught monsters to battle, and tapping on-screen buttons for attacks and items.
Officials said these rules are not new or special, they are just standard monster-catching gameplay already seen in games like Pokémon, with no real invention.
This patent belongs to the same group Nintendo is using in its court case against Palworld developer Pocketpair.
Nintendo changed the claims in February 2026, but the office still rejected it. They can try again, but the strong reasons given make it difficult.
The lawsuit against Palworld continues, and Pocketpair has already made changes to avoid issues.
